Refund Policy

1. Overview
Indie Loadout sells digital products — AI-generated game development and marketing documentation kits ("Loadouts"). Because each Loadout is generated on-demand and specific to your game, we follow a no-refund default policy for completed deliveries, with clearly defined exceptions outlined below.
We stand behind the quality of our generated outputs. If something goes wrong on our end, we will make it right.
2. No-Refund Default Policy
All sales are final once your Loadout has been successfully generated and delivered to your dashboard.
This policy reflects the nature of our product: each Loadout is custom-generated for your specific game at the time of purchase, consuming computational resources and processing pipeline capacity. We cannot "return" a digital deliverable.
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
3. Eligible Exceptions
Refunds or remedies are available in the following circumstances:
3.1 Generation Failure — Full Refund
If our system fails to generate your Loadout within 24 hours of completing your intake form submission, and the failure is attributable to a technical error on our part (not incomplete or invalid form inputs), you are entitled to:
- A full refund of the purchase price, OR
- A regeneration attempt at no additional charge (your choice)
3.2 Critically Defective Output — Partial Refund or Regeneration
If your delivered Loadout contains significant defects that render it substantially unusable — for example, wrong game name throughout all deliverables, all sections blank or clearly placeholder content, or file corruption preventing download — you are entitled to:
- A free regeneration of the affected deliverable(s), OR
- A partial refund proportional to the defective portion of the Loadout, at our discretion
What does not qualify as a defect: Disagreement with the AI's strategic recommendations, stylistic preferences, minor formatting inconsistencies, or the output not meeting subjective expectations are not eligible for refunds. AI-generated content is inherently interpretive — we do not guarantee any specific strategic outcome.
3.3 Duplicate Purchase — Full Refund
If you accidentally purchased the same package twice for the same game within a 48-hour window, contact us and we will refund the duplicate charge in full, provided neither generation has been completed.
3.4 Pre-Generation Cancellation — Full Refund
If you have completed a purchase but have not yet submitted your intake form, you may request a full refund within 48 hours of purchase. Once the intake form is submitted and generation begins, this window closes.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or remedy under the eligible exceptions above:
- Email us at refunds@indieloadout.com within 72 hours of the triggering event (delivery failure, defective output discovery, or duplicate purchase).
- Include in your email:
- The email address used at purchase
- Your Paddle order number (found in your purchase confirmation email)
- A clear description of the issue
- Screenshots or evidence of the defect, if applicable
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days (Philippines business days, Monday–Friday).
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment processor. Refund timing depends on your payment method and financial institution — typically 5–10 business days after approval. We have no control over your bank's processing time.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at purchase.
6. Non-Refundable Scenarios
The following situations are not eligible for refunds:
- You changed your mind after your Loadout was delivered
- Your game concept changed after purchase
- You are dissatisfied with the AI's tone, voice, or strategic angle
- You submitted inaccurate or incomplete information in the intake form and the output reflects those inputs
- Your Loadout did not produce the commercial results you hoped for
- You found a competitor's product after purchasing
- More than 72 hours have passed since delivery of your Loadout
7. EU / UK Consumer Rights
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have additional statutory rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive or UK Consumer Rights Act, including a right of withdrawal for digital content. However, by expressly requesting that generation begin immediately upon form submission, and acknowledging that the digital content will be delivered immediately, you waive your right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (or equivalent UK law) once generation has commenced.
If you do not wish to waive this right, do not submit your intake form until you are certain you want to proceed.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
8. Chargebacks
We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or payment provider. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us for a good-faith resolution attempt may be disputed. Fraudulent chargebacks will be reported to Paddle and may result in account suspension.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs your transaction.
